In a blog post pre-published today, Cardano staking center RayStake shared the information about the latest attacks that took place on October 3rd and 10th. /2 billion ADA. Details of the RayStake exploit
According to the blog post, the attacker managed to toggle a staking key within the fee address, causing the trading system to transfer crypto to the hacker’s wallet. The attacker managed to withdraw 5,554,113 XRAY (Ray Network local currency) and 112 XDIAMOND. He then bought them for a total of 412,253 ADA on Minswap dex and Sundaeswap. The RayStake team says they detect which addresses the attacker has the 412.253 ADA and publish them in theblog post.
Settlement offer to the hacker
RayStake group provided the hacker to settle this account if he pays back the ADA they gave him for the stolen budget. that he is a “white hat hacker” who helped them discover a vulnerability in the system. The total ADA withheld using the hacker’s address meanwhile is 4,600,000 plus the 412,000 he received for the theft crypto.
According to it, the hacker left “quite a few virtual footprints” to help DPS Cyber Security keep him out of their crosshairs. If this offer is not accepted, RayStake will launch a campaign to find the hacker on Monday with a reward of 10,000 ADA.
