A crypto whale abruptly moves a staggering amount from Dogecoin (DOGE) competitor Shiba Inu (SHIB) in a massive transaction. According to new data from the blockchain search engine Etherscan, the trader has moved 1.29 trillion SHIBs, worth about $12 million, from one undisclosed wallet to another at the time of writing. The transaction cost $0.75 and took place about 16 hours ago, according to Etherscan.
The wealthy investor emptied the wallet that contained SHIB and moved it to another wallet that now only contains the meme asset. The token change comes after a drop in the number of crypto wallets using SHIB. Etherscan data also shows that the number of digital asset wallets containing Shiba Inu has decreased from 1,283,133 to 1,251,233.
Earlier it was reported that most holders of the dog-themed crypto asset are underwater, along with investors in other prominent digital assets such as King Crypto Bitcoin (BTC), the leading Ethereum (ETH) smart contract platform, Layer 2 Polygon Ladder Solution (MATIC) and BTC Alternate Litecoin (LTC). However, 57% of all DOGE owners were in the green. Shiba Inu was changing hands for $0.000009 at the time of writing, a fraction of the gain in days but 44.4% below its 30-day high of $0.000013 founded on November 4th.
