Cardano NFTs Reach Six Million, Setting New Milestone Details

The Cardano network has set a new milestone, holding over six million NFTs. According to data from the pool, the number of NFTs on the Cardano blockchain is currently 6,006,497, with 64,611 different minting policies. Technically, there is not much difference between native tokens/assets and NFTs. This is because both are native assets that can be created using the Cardano node CLI.

The Cardano blockchain can natively generate, interact with, and delete custom tokens (or “assets”). “Native” indicates that users can directly interact with these custom assets without using smart contracts.

An NFT is a unique native asset that is immutable and exists forever on the blockchain, unlike fungible native assets, which could include millions of tradable tokens. Native support must also meet other requirements to qualify as an NFT, suggesting that it is “non-fungible.” Therefore, a token must have unique identifiers or properties that distinguish it from the others. This explains why the number of tickets or native assets was higher on the Cardano network Pool. Pm indicates that the number of native assets is 6,741,978.

Cardano sees a 170% increase in 30-day NFT volume

According to data from OpenCNFT, the Cardano NFT market saw a 30-day volume of 54,341,905 ADA, up 170%. It increased by 80% to 170,122 in the same period.
